Installation takes just a few minutes – no tools, no stress.
For the part 6A with the clear window, you can fine-tune the fit:
Gently warm the window with a hairdryer.
While slightly heating it, press and shape the material with your fingers so it follows the raised profile of the lens switches.
The last step is the elastic zoom sleeve: insert it under the edge of the neoprene on the zoom ring and lens hood, leaving an overlap of about 2–3 cm. This creates a clean, protected transition that moves smoothly with your zooming.

Výhody
- Lepší ochrana objektivu – neopren tlumí drobné nárazy a otřesy, chrání lak, popisky a povrch tubusu před odřením.
- Účinné maskování – matný povrch a kamuflážní vzory pomáhají objektiv „schovat“ před zvěří i lidmi a omezují nežádoucí odlesky.
- Tepelná izolace – obal zpomaluje rychlé zahřátí na slunci i prochladnutí v mrazu, takže se objektiv chová stabilněji.
- Pohodlnější úchop – objektiv v ruce méně klouže a na dotek není ani tak studený, ani rozpálený jako holý kov.
- Vyšší zůstatková hodnota – běžné kosmetické opotřebení se „spotřebuje“ na obalu, ne na samotném objektivu.
- Snadný servis – jednotlivé díly obalu umím dodat i samostatně, takže při poškození nebo ztrátě není nutné kupovat celý set znovu.
Praktická omezení / na co myslet
- Reverzní nasazení sluneční clony při skladování – kvůli tloušťce neoprenu nelze u většiny clon zacvaknout sluneční clonu na objektiv v reverzní poloze (obráceně) tak, jak se často používá při transportu. Alternativou je vložit clonu z druhé strany – od bajonetu fotoaparátu. Uvnitř objektivu pak není pevně aretovaná, ale neopře se přímo o lak tubusu, protože objektiv je po celém obvodu krytý obalem.u
- Použití přepínače „LOCK“ pro zoom – při nasazeném pružném rukávu na zoomu se zoomovací prstenec kvůli materiálu rukávu nedostane až do krajní polohy, ve které by šlo přepnout přepínač **LOCK**. Zámek zoomu je tedy s rukávem omezený – pokud zoom při transportu standardně zamykáš, je potřeba rukáv předem stáhnout nebo sundat.
- Mírně větší průměr objektivu – neopren přidává několik milimetrů k průměru objektivu. Ve většině brašen a batohů to nevadí, ale u velmi těsných pouzder je dobré počítat s o něco menší rezervou.
