Give your Sigma 100–400mm f/5–6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary (Canon EF or Nikon F) the protection it deserves. This neoprene camouflage cover defends the lens against scratches, impacts and harsh weather – from rain and snow to extreme heat.
Designed with wildlife and outdoor photographers in mind, it features a smart window for autofocus and stabilisation switches and includes a dedicated sleeve for the zoom barrel. Thanks to the custom-shaped rear section for EF and F mounts, the cover fits securely and stays in place shot after shot.
Effective Camouflage
Whether you’re photographing shy wildlife, sports or events, this cover helps your lens blend into the scene instead of flashing bright black and white surfaces. The matte finish and camouflage patterns reduce reflections and visual distraction – so you stay less noticeable and closer to the shot you want.
Temperature Shield
On a hot day, the surface of your lens can easily reach very high temperatures. This neoprene cover acts as a thermal shield:
- reduces rapid heating in direct sun,
- helps protect internal lubricants and plastics,
- supports more stable performance in both heat and cold.
Impact & Scratch Defense
Moving through forest, climbing over rocks or working in tight spaces around cars, fences or tripods – the lens body is always at risk.
The neoprene layer absorbs minor knocks and contact with branches, straps or other gear, so the painted surface and markings stay protected and fully readable for years.
Preserves Lens Value
A clean, undamaged lens without chipped paint or deep scratches is easier to sell and can keep a significantly higher resale value.
With a cover, everyday wear happens on the neoprene – not on the lens itself.
Precision craftsmanship
All covers are designed and manufactured in-house in the Czech Republic
Because I personally oversee the production and enjoy the craft, I can fine-tune the process quickly and react to customer feedback almost immediately – without waiting for distant subcontractors or long production cycles.
Tailor-Made Fit for Every Lens
Each cover is designed with the lens in mind. From CAD modeling to practical testing, every detail is refined to ensure the best fit and optimal performance. For the EF and F mounts, the rear section is crafted specifically to their unique contours, providing seamless integration with the lens’s design.
Spare Parts for Sustainability
If a part of the cover becomes damaged or lost, replacements can be purchased individually. This eco-conscious approach ensures you won’t need to replace the entire cover for a single issue.

Ultimate Camouflage for the Sigma 100–400mm Contemporary (Canon EF & Nikon F)
Turn your Sigma 100–400mm into a tool you can rely on in any conditions – without hiding its performance. This neoprene camouflage cover protects your lens, improves handling and lets you stay focused on the shot, not on the gear.
Zoom Barrel Protection – Two Systems, One Package
Every photographer zooms differently. That’s why we don’t force you into a single solution.
In the box you’ll find:
- Fixed neoprene cover – maximum protection and clean look.
- Flexible elastic zoom sleeve – keeps the barrel protected while allowing smooth, precise zooming.
You decide which option suits your shooting style best – both are included, so you’re ready for wildlife, travel, sports or everyday use straight away.
Smart Window for Control Switches
Lens switches are a critical point – they hate moisture and dirt. Some photographers want them fully covered, others insist on instant tactile access.
Our solution:
- Variant with a clear protective window that shields the switches from rain and dust while keeping them visible and usable.
- Variant without window for those who prioritize pure comfort and direct access.
Both options are in the package. You simply choose the setup that matches your shooting conditions.
Quick, Intuitive Installation
Depending on the variant you selected, you receive a precisely cut eight-piece set tailored specifically to the Sigma 100–400mm Contemporary.
Each piece clearly shows where it belongs on the lens.
Temporary position labels and included instructions guide you step by step.
Installation takes just a few minutes – no tools, no stress.
For the part 6A with the clear window, you can fine-tune the fit:
Gently warm the window with a hairdryer.
While slightly heating it, press and shape the material with your fingers so it follows the raised profile of the lens switches.
The last step is the elastic zoom sleeve: insert it under the edge of the neoprene on the zoom ring and lens hood, leaving an overlap of about 2–3 cm. This creates a clean, protected transition that moves smoothly with your zooming.
Summary – benefits and practical limitations of the neoprene cover for Sigma 100-400mm
Benefits
- Lens protection in the field – the neoprene absorbs minor impacts and vibrations and protects the paintwork, markings and barrel surface from cuffs.
- Effective camouflage – the matte surface and camouflage patterns help “hide” the lens from wildlife and people and reduce unwanted reflections.
- Thermal insulation – the cover slows down rapid heating in the sun and cooling in freezing conditions, so the lens behaves more consistently.
- More comfortable grip – the lens slips less in your hand and doesn’t feel as cold or as hot to the touch as bare metal.
- Higher resale value – normal cosmetic wear and tear “uses up” the cover, not the lens itself.
- Easy servicing – I can supply individual parts of the cover separately, so if something gets damaged or lost you don’t have to buy a whole new set.
Practical limitations / things to keep in mind
- Reversed lens hood position for storage Because of the thickness of the neoprene, most hoods cannot be clicked onto the lens in the reversed position as is often done for transport. An alternative is to place the hood on from the other side – from the camera bayonet side. Inside the lens it is then not firmly locked, but it does not rest directly on the painted barrel, because the lens is covered by the sleeve all around.
- Using the “LOCK” switch for the zoom With the elastic zoom sleeve mounted, the zoom ring cannot travel all the way to the end position needed to switch the **LOCK** lever. The zoom lock is therefore limited when the sleeve is on – if you usually lock the zoom for transport, you need to pull the sleeve back or remove it first.
- Slightly larger lens diameter The neoprene adds a few millimetres to the diameter of the lens. In most bags and backpacks this is not an issue, but with very tight cases it is worth counting on slightly less clearance.

Martin Kováč –
The neoprene camouflage cover for my Sigma 100–400mm pleasantly surprised me – it fits snugly, doesn’t move around and protects the barrel very well from scratches and bumps. The camouflage looks natural in the field and I also appreciate the comfortable grip in cold weather. For me it’s a great accessory for the lens that really makes sense.
Andreas Fischer –
The neoprene cover for my Sigma 100–400mm arrived today by courier – unpacked it, slipped it on straight away and everything fits just as it should. Great fit, nothing slips, nothing rubs. How well it will perform out in the field will show on the next trips, but first impression: really cool piece of kit.
Johan Lindström –
Perfect fit. Quiet and discreet in the field. Protects the lens really well.
